Partners in wellness
We were pleased to see the article “Synagogue launches health and wellness center,” (Oct. 18) describing the new Health and Wellness Center at Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel in which Beth Sandweiss, Jewish Family Service of MetroWest NJ Synagogue Social Worker, will be playing a key role. The JFS MetroWest Synagogue Social Work Consultation Service, now in its fifth year, is a partnership of the Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey, the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ, JFS of MetroWest NJ and participating synagogues.
Through this program, JFS MetroWest social workers are placed on site at Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel, Congregation B’nai Jeshurun, Temple Ner Tamid, Temple Beth Ahm Yisrael, and Congregation Agudath Israel. They work seamlessly with synagogue staff to develop new, creative programming to support the emotional well-being of congregants. Through this partnership, Jewish Family Service of MetroWest NJ is proud to be collaborating with the newly established Health and Wellness Center at Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel.
