Philip Gurian
Philip Gurian, 90, of West Caldwell, formerly of Monroe, died Oct. 12, 2010.
Mr. Gurian was the founding president of the Hearing Health Care Providers of New Jersey. He spearheaded an act to license hearing aid dispensers.
He was a founding president of Temple Sha’arey Shalom of Springfield.
He was a U.S. Army veteran who served at the Panama Canal.
Predeceased by his wife, Helen, he is survived by his son, David; his daughter, Joan Nulman; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services were held Oct. 14 with arrangements by J.L. Apter Memorial Chapels of Cedar Grove.
