Philip Leon Marshall
Philip Leon Marshall, 87, of Freehold died Oct. 3, 2010. Born in Brooklyn, he lived in Freehold since 1973. Mr. Marshall was a knitter for over 40 years, retiring in 1985. He also was the owner of Phil’s Luncheonette, Brooklyn.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
He was active in the Boy Scouts for over 75 years in Brooklyn and New Jersey. He was the recipient of the Silver Beaver Award.
Predeceased by his wife, Norma Feinstein Marshall, in 2006, he is survived by his son, Stuart of Toms River; two daughters, Bernice and Melanie, both of Freehold; a brother, Norman of Chicago; a sister, Marilyn Frankel of Morristown; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 5 with arrangements by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan.
