Phyllis Balaban
Phyllis Goldberg Balaban, 85, of Monroe Township died Nov. 17, 2014. Born in Brooklyn, she resided there before moving to Clearbrook in Monroe in 1990.
Prior to her retirement in 1990, Mrs. Balaban was a hospital administrator in Brooklyn for Brookdale Hospital, and then Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, for a total of 27 years.
She enjoyed services and lifecycle events at Congregation Beth Chaim, Princeton Junction.
Predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Isidore, in 2012, she is survived by two sons, Alan (Tina) and Mark (Eileen); a sister, Melanie Bernstein; and five grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 19 with arrangements by Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Beth Chaim.
