R. Florence Frankel
R. Florence Frankel (Meyers), 100, a longtime resident of West Orange, died May 12, 2016. She was born in Newark.
Mrs. Frankel was an assistant librarian for many years at the Verona Library.
She graduated from Columbia University in 1937.
She transcribed novels into Braille. She played the piano and was a soprano in the choir of The Jewish Center of West Orange.
Predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Morris, she is survived by two daughters, Judith (Philip) Kahn and Barbara (Lawrence) Rosenberg; a brother, Philip Meyers; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held May 15 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
