Rachel Rose
Rachel (Rochelle) R. Rose (Rosenberg), 75, of Madison died May 5, 2015. Born in Brooklyn, she lived in Maplewood for 35 years before moving to Madison in 2004.
Mrs. Rose, who decided to be called Rachel at age 50, was employed as a teacher in the New York City school system and later as a corporate trainer at New York Life Insurance Company, retiring in 2000.
She was a member of Hadassah and Oheb Shalom Congregation in South Orange.
She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Brooklyn College in 1961 and 1969, respectively.
Predeceased by a son, Michael Rose, she is survived by her husband, Marvin; two sons, David (Denise) Goldfield and Jonathan Rose; her daughter, Elizabeth Anne Rose; a sister, Sheva Miller; and four grandchildren.
Services were held May 8 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
