Readers, what are your favorite holiday recipes?

With the fall rapidly approaching and the High Holy Days not so far away, we at the Jewish Standard and the New Jersey Jewish News thought it would be great if our readers would submit some of their favorite recipes.

Here are some guidelines.

The recipe must be fairly simple; it should use ingredients that you have at home or can get at a local store. It should not have too many ingredients.

If possible, you should be able to make it before you need it and freeze it for future use. It would be great if it were to be kid-friendly.

When you send the recipe, feel free to include a short anecdote about the recipe’s origin, or the memories it evokes. Also, please send a photograph as a guide to what the dish should look like when it’s done.

And it doesn’t have to be fancy! Sometimes the best, most delicious recipes are family staples, waiting to be shared.

We look forward to receiving recipes, reviewing them, making them, and picking a few of them to share in print and online with our readers.

Send submissions to Beth@JewishMediaGroup.com — put RECIPE in the subject line. Thanks! Enjoy the rest of the summer. Beth Chananie
