Remembering Irving Berlin in Morristown on Sunday
Temple B’nai Or board member Geoffrey Weinman, professor emeritus and former dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at Fairleigh Dickinson, will talking about Irving Berlin at the shul on Sunday, April 6, at 12:30 p.m., in the shul’s social hall. The program will focus on the words and music of the Jewish songwriter, creator of such iconic songs as “God Bless America” and “White Christmas,” as well as ragtime and satirical works and Broadway musicals. The group will talk about his lyrics, listen to some of his music, and examine his influence on the American scene.
