Remembering Rabbi Zvi Kogan
A memorial service was held at the Bris Avrohom shul in memory of Rabbi Zvi Kogan. Rabbi Mordechai Kanelsky made a siyum in his memory and Rabbi Dovid Wilansky recited kaddish.
Rabbi Kogan a 28-year-old UAE-based rabbi, went missing in Dubai at the end of last month, and his body was found a few days later.
A farbrengen followed in honor of rosh chodesh Kislev. Rabbi Kanelsky shared the story of the miraculous recovery of that date, when the Rabbi Menachem Schneerson, z”l, experienced a miracle and recovered from a massive heart attack.
The meal was co-sponsored by Chana and Dovid Hoffer in honor of the yahrzeit of David’s mother Pesha Faiga, and by Rabbi Mordechai and Shterney Kanelsky in honor of their son Zalmy’s birthday.
