Renee Blum
Renee Blum, 87, of Maplewood died Jan. 27, 2015. Born in Brooklyn, she grew up in Manhattan and spent her childhood summers at her grandparents’ hotel in Tannersville, NY. She and her husband spent their married life in Maplewood and also maintained a property on Wellesley Island, NY.
A homemaker, Mrs. Blum was actively involved in all of her children’s activities. She was also active in the family business, Grewe Plastics, Inc., until 2008. She graduated from George Washington High School, New York City, in 1945.
She was an avid antiques collector.
Predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Norman, last November, she is survived by two daughters, Deborah and Judith; two sons, Allen (Susan) and John (Gina); eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 1 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
