Richard Becher
Richard Becher, 73, of Somerset died Oct. 12, 2010. Born in Newark, he resided in Edison before moving to Somerset in 2004.
Mr. Becher was the owner of Thrifty Rent-A-Car of Westfield for 30 years.
He was the treasurer of the Renaissance at Raritan Valley Men’s Club.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Lipman); two sons, Robert of Los Angeles and Michael of Manhattan; two brothers, Alan of Somerset and Sheldon of Belle Harbor, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 13 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
