Robert Bitton
Robert Bitton, 81, of Naples, Fla., died July 9, 2020. He was born in Newark and later lived in Union and Clark before moving to Livingston.
Mr. Bitton was CEO of Supreme Security Systems, Inc., started by his father Sydney in 1929, before passing it on to his son David in 2019. He was a prominent figure within the electronic security industry, serving as a leader for many different organizations.
He graduated from Hillside High School in 1956 and Rutgers University in 1960.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rhoda (Heiber); his son, David (Meg) of Tenafly; two daughters, Michele Bitton of San Francisco and Susan (David) Erdreich of Berkeley Heights; a sister, Maxine Paris; and four grandchildren.
He enjoyed boating.
Private graveside services were held July 12 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
