Robert Nack
Robert Leslie Nack, 63, of Mariposa, Ariz., died May 29, 2016. Born in Orange, he lived in West Orange and Caldwell before retiring and moving to Arizona six years ago.
Dr. Nack graduated from the University of Delaware, where he played basketball. After graduation, he moved to Israel to play semi-professional basketball for Hapoel and Maccabi. He returned to New Jersey after he was accepted into University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. After receiving his dental degree, he joined a dental practice with Dr. Jerome Silverstein in Jersey City.
In 2001, he volunteered for the New York Police Department to help identify victims of 9/11 via their dental records.
He is survived by two daughters, Talya Knable and Elana Nack; a sister, Sara Ann Manochio of Arizona; a brother, Matthew of New Jersey; and many nieces and nephews.
Private arrangements were held in Arizona.
