Rose Blumenkranz

Rose Blumenkranz, 96, of Pennington died Dec. 27, 2010. Born in Poland, she survived the Holocaust by escaping to Russia. After the war she and her husband Nathan lived in Israel, where they were involved in the 1948 War of Independence. They moved to the United States in the early 1960s.

Mrs. Blumenkranz’s husband was a partner in Garden Homes, a real estate development company which was founded by her brother-in-law, the late Harry Wilf, and his brother Joseph.

She was involved in many charitable organizations in the United States and Israel. She was a lifelong member of Hadassah, Yad Vashem, and Adath Israel Congregation in Lawrenceville.

Predeceased by her husband and her sister, Judy Wilf, she is survived by her daughter, Dorit Borrus of Lawrenceville; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held Dec. 30 with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing. Memorial contributions may be made to Adath Israel Congregation or Abrams Hebrew Academy, Yardley, Pa.
