Ruth Bernhardt

Ruth Bernhardt, 83, of Mount Arlington died March 22, 2018. Born in New York City, she moved to New Jersey in 1960 when she married her husband, Henry. She raised her family in Fair Lawn and moved to Mount Arlington 11 years ago.

Mrs. Bernhardt was employed in the fund-raising business, eventually starting her own fund-raising company.

She studied marketing in college.

She spent many years as a parent volunteer in her children’s elementary school, and was involved with the local Jewish community. She was an active member of Lake Hopatcong Jewish Community Center.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Henry; her son, Jeffrey; her daughter, Alyssa (Billy); a brother, Robert; and four grandchildren.

Services were held March 25 with arrangements by Kehila Chapels, Brooklyn.
