Sammy Davis
Sammy “Sam” Davis, 92, of Union died Jan. 3, 2016. Born and raised in Elizabeth, he lived in Union for the past 55 years.
Mr. David was a special education teacher at Lincoln School and a physical therapist throughout Middlesex County for over 35 years.
He graduated from East Stroudsburg University and University of Pennsylvania.
He served in the U.S. Army as part of the 75th Division and was awarded the bronze star for his bravery during World War II.
He is survived by his wife of almost 65 years, Bernice; two daughters, Sandy (Ben) Lawson of Springfield and Rina (Ted) Schlemovitz of Manalapan; and four grandchildren.
