SCHWARTZ-KAPLAN

Nanci and Robert Schwartz of North Caldwell announce the engagement their son, Daniel, to Rachel Kaplan, daughter of Betty Kaplan of New City, NY, and Jeffrey Kaplan of Raleigh, NC.

Mr. Schwartz, a graduate of Montclair Kimberley Academy and the A.B. Freeman School of Business of Tulane University in New Orleans, earned an MBA in marketing and real estate from the Zarb School of Business of Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY. He is an associate of Kempner Corporation of White Plains, NY, a real estate investment company.

Ms. Kaplan is a graduate of the Robert H. Smith School of Business at University of Maryland, College Park. She is director of sales and marketing for Lauren Merkin Handbags in New York City.

A March 2015 wedding is planned.
