Senior community open house

LESTER SENIOR LIVING, on the Aidekman Family Jewish Community Campus in Whippany, will host an open house on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 3 p.m. Attendees will tour the senior living community, run by the Jewish Community Housing Corporation, and learn about its residential options, amenities, and programs.

Tena Alonso, director of education and research for Comfort Matters, a nationwide leader in dementia care, will present a seminar at 6 p.m. on the benefits of palliative care for those with dementia. Information will also be available about Lester’s Memory Care Suite, for individuals with dementia-related diagnoses.

Lester Senior Living offers a range of rental apartments for adults 62 and older and an array of cultural, educational, and social programs; wellness classes; intergenerational activities with local students; lifelong learning courses; and glatt kosher dining. Clergy members lead Shabbat and holiday services and Torah study.
