Sheldon Glickman
Sheldon Edwin Glickman, 91, of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., died April 11, 2012. He was born in Brooklyn.
Mr. Glickman was employed for over 25 years as production manager for Century Letter Company in New York City.
After high school, he attended the Manhattan School of Printing.
A combat-wounded veteran during World War II, he was assigned to Company A, 84th Chemical Mortar Battalion, landing in North Africa and then fighting in Italy, including the Battles of Naples-Foggia, Anzio, and Rome Arno.
He was active in the American Jewish Congress and the Anzio Beachhead War Veterans of World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rhoda (Trebacz); two daughters, Andrea Wertheimer of West Orange and Iris Robin of San Marino, Calif.; his son, Stewart of Maplewood; and nine grandchildren.
A military memorial service will be held May 25 in Newport Beach, Calif. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, 1199 Pleasant Valley Way, West Orange, NJ 07052.
