Shirley Ackerman
Shirley Ackerman, 89, of Roxbury died Feb. 5, 2018. Born in Newark, she also had resided in Irvington and West Orange.
Mrs. Ackerman worked for many years until her retirement from Jewish Federation Plaza, West Orange.
She graduated from Weequahic High School, Newark, in 1946 and attended Newark State Teachers College.
Predeceased by her husband, Leonard, in 1996, she is survived by her son, Scott; a niece, Lisa; and a nephew, Stuart.
Services were held Feb. 8 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
