Sinai Schools has new president

Tzvi Solomon
Tzvi Solomon

Tzvi Solomon is the new president of Sinai Schools. He takes over from Avi Vogel, who served in the position for nearly 10 years. Mr. Vogel will remain on Sinai’s executive committee and its board of directors.

“On behalf of the board, faculty, staff, parents, and students of Sinai, I express tremendous hakarat hatov to Avi for his years of devoted service,” Rabbi Mark Karasick, Sinai’s chairman, said. “We look forward to honoring him and his wife, Aviva, at our annual benefit dinner on February 23, 2025.”

Mr. Solomon has been a dedicated supporter and champion of Sinai for many years. His relationship with the school dates back to his high school years at the Torah Academy of Bergen County in Teaneck, where he developed friendships with many Sinai Karasick Shalem High School students. He fondly recalls how quickly his relationships with Sinai students evolved into genuine friendships. This experience influenced his outlook on the importance of the community’s inclusion of people with special needs.

“I am confident the passion and commitment our new president has for Sinai will be infectious to others and spur many to join him in championing Sinai’s uniquely special education,” Rabbi Karasick said.

Tzvi and his wife, Erica, live in New Milford. They have three children, Matthew, Caleb, and Moriah.
