Sol Lida
Sol I. Lida, 90, of Manalapan died April 1, 2015. Born in Dzialoszyzce, Poland, he was a Holocaust survivor who immigrated to the United States in 1950, settling in the Bronx and then relocating to Monroe Township in 1979. He later moved to Manalapan.
Prior to his retirement in 1985, Mr. Lida was the owner of Mindel Cleaners, Manhattan, where he worked for many years.
He was a congregant of Congregation Beit Shalom, Monroe Township. He was also a member of the Dzialyshitzer Benevolent Association in Brooklyn.
Predeceased by his wife, Rita Spater Lida, in 2001, he is survived by two daughters, Evie (Peter) Bramson of Monroe and Ann (Gary) Arvedon of Manalapan; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held April 2 with arrangements by Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to Jewish National Fund, 78 Randall Ave., Rockville Centre, NY 11570.
