Sondra Ziering
Sondra “Sandy” Nudelman Ziering, 83, of Westport, Conn., died April 27, 2015. Born in East Orange, she lived in Irvington and Maplewood before residing in West Orange for over 50 years. In 2007 she moved to Westport.
For over 20 years, Mrs. Ziering was a legal assistant, first at Nudelman and Grossman, the law firm founded by her father, and later at Nudelman, Nudelman and Ziering, the firm continued by her brother Arthur and son Peter.
She graduated from Irvington High School.
She was an active member of Temple Emanu-El, taught adult ESL, and was an Adult Mentor/Child Buddy volunteer at Harrison Elementary School, all in Livingston. A lifetime Hadassah member, she was involved with the Westport Senior Center and was a Lifelong Learner at Norwalk (Conn.) Community College.
She is survived by her husband of over 58 years, Jerome (Jerry); her daughter, Allison (Michael) Walmark of Westport; two sons, Peter and Thomas “Tom” (Alex Wieselman); a brother, Arthur; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Services were held April 30 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
