Stanley J. Rand, 88, of West Orange died Jan. 5, 2020. Born in New York City, he lived with his family in Brussels and Paris before returning to New York in 1940 on the last refugee ship to be admitted to the United States.
Mr. Rand worked as a tax attorney for several international companies in the New York metropolitan area.
He graduated from City College of New York with a bachelor’s degree and Brooklyn Law School and then received his master of taxation from New York University.
Predeceased by his first wife of 40 years, Helene, he is survived by his wife of 15 years, Rhoda Koslowsky; his daughter, Donna (Richard) Rosenberg; his son, Robert (Melissa) Rand; two stepchildren, Jeffrey (Denise) Koslowsky and Jill Neff; and six grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 7 with arrangements by Jewish Memorial Chapel, Clifton.
