Stanley Sobelson
Stanley Sobelson, 97, of West Orange died March 7, 2015. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Newark and Livingston before moving to West Orange in 2006.
Mr. Sobelson was the owner/operator of the Lincoln Theatre Group in North Arlington for over 40 years.
He graduated with a BS from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, in 1938.
He was a World War II veteran who served in the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of Temple Sholom of West Essex and the East Orange and Berkeley tennis clubs.
Predeceased by his wife, Dorothy, he is survived by his son, Joel of Weston, Conn.; his daughter, Lynne Epstein of North Caldwell; a brother, Ronald of Florida; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 9 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
