Stephen Gelber
Stephen Gelber, 61, of Mendham Township died June 24, 2016. Born in New York City, he lived in various locations around New York City and the Pacific Northwest before moving to Mendham in 2005.
Mr. Gelber was a photographer, printer, teacher, and owner of Penguin Photo Lab in New York City for over 15 years before retiring 10 years ago.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from SUNY Empire State College in Manhattan.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Luciano, and a daughter, Rose Luciano, both of Mendham; two sisters, Alexis Gelber of Manhattan and Valerie Gelber of Huntington, NY; a nephew, Matthew Whitaker; and three nieces, Rachel Whitaker, Nadine Sobel, and Regina Sobel.
Services were held June 27 with arrangements by Ross’ Shalom Chapels, Chatham.
