The Young Friends of the Museum of Jewish Heritage — A Living Memorial to the Holocaust in Manhattan will host its annual Sunset Soiree for young professionals, from 21 to 39 years old, on Thursday, June 16, at 7 p.m. The fundraiser returns in person this year for the first time since the start of the pandemic.
The program includes remarks from Jonah Lazowski, a grandson of Holocaust survivors; a silent auction; raffle; DJ entertainment; hors d’oeuvres; and cocktails. There will be a tour of a museum’s exhibition, “Boris Lurie: Nothing To Do But To Try,” which highlights never-before-seen works by Holocaust survivor and artist Boris Lurie.
Proceeds from the evening ensure the museum can fulfill its mission and serve as a beacon for education about antisemitism and bigotry through the lessons of the Holocaust. Tickets are for sale at mjhnyc.org/sunsetsoiree.
