Sylvia Seidman
Sylvia Seidman (Riback), 91, of Whippany died May 10, 2011. Born in New York City, she resided in Jersey City, North Arlington, Cranford, Brick, and Wayne before moving to Whippany four years ago.
A wife, mother, and homemaker, Mrs. Seidman volunteered at Brick Hospital and the VA Hospital in Brick.
She was active in the JWV Ladies Auxiliary-Post Sanford L. Kahn and was an officer of the sisterhood of Congregation B’nai Israel, Kearny. She also was a member of Hadassah of Hudson County.
Predeceased by her husband, Isadore, she is survived by three sons, Bruce of Wayne, Scott of Edison, and Richard of Budd Lake; and five grandchildren.
Services were held May 12 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
