Professor Maurice Mahler discusses “The Woman in Gold” by Gustav Klimt on Wednesday, October 26, at 2 p.m., in person and on Zoom, for the Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County.
The famous painting was stolen from a Jewish family in the run-up to World War II and had many owners until it was placed in its permanent home. Learn how Ronald Lauder, the son of Estee Lauder, bought the painting for $130 million. It now is on display at the Neue Galerie Museum in Manhattan.
