Talking about mezuzot online

Chabad of Hackensack offers a new course, “A Case for Mezuzah!” on its website. The class is led by Rabbi Menachem Kahn, a Chabad rabbi in Flatbush. A renowned expert in the laws of Sifrei Torah, tefillin, and mezuzot, Rabbi Kahn is a member of Vaad Mishmeres STaM, certifying scribes and proofreaders. He also is a member of the Crown Heights Beis Din, where he gives biweekly classes to scribes.

The mini-course will address answers to questions like: How is a mezuzah made? What is the significance of this mitzvah? What makes a mezuzah not kosher?

The first episode, “What is a Kosher Mezuzah?” airs on August 18 and “How and Where to Put Up a Mezuzah” is on August 25, both at 6 p.m. Register at www.chabadhackensack.com or (201) 530-3770.
