TBA hosts 25th annual Women’s Interfaith Forum

TEMPLE B’NAI ABRAHAM’S Social Action Committee, in partnership with the Sisterhood-The Women’s Connection at the Livingston synagogue, sponsored the 25th annual Women’s Interfaith Forum on Jan. 23. The community program honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by gathering faith-based groups in Essex County for a lunch and
discussion.
This year’s topic, “Reality Check: How Far Have Women Come in the Past 25 Years?,” explored female advancement in the fields of law, health care, science, and business.
Speakers included N.Y. attorney Prema Roddam, Prof. Cecilia Marzabadi of Seton Hall University, and Marsha Atkind, executive director and CEO of The Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey.
The 2019 event was spearheaded by Social Action Committee cochairs Janet Penn and Ruth Ross and Sisterhood copresidents Donna Ellenbogen and Deborah Jacob.
