Teacher of excellence
The Partnership for Jewish Learning and Life joins with the community in congratulating Flora Musleah Yavelberg on receiving the Grinspoon-Steinhardt Award (“Foundations honor local Jewish educators, Sept. 2).
The Partnership is MetroWest’s Jewish identity-building agency and administers this award on behalf of JESNA in our community. Each year we convene a committee of senior educators in early childhood, congregational, and day school education to select one winner for MetroWest’s Gene and Adele (z”l) Hoffman Award for Educator Excellence, a cash award of $1,000. This year, with Flora as our choice, we forwarded her nomination for the Grinspoon-Steinhardt Award, which supports the professional development of teachers of excellence.
