Theodore Seagull
Theodore Seagull, 87, of Chatham died Nov. 15, 2010. Born in the Bronx, he also had lived in Newark, Springfield, Roselle Park, and Berkeley Heights.
Mr. Seagull worked as a pharmacist for over 42 years. He owned the Pine Pharmacy of Montclair and Toth’s Family Pharmacy in Roselle Park. He also served as a pharmacist at the Northern State Prison from 1990 to 1992.
In 1950, he earned a bachelor of science degree from Rutgers University, where he was a member of the Rho Chi Honors Society.
A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Seagull served in the European Theater in France and Germany during World War II.
He was a member of the Ethical Culture Society of Essex County and served as the editor of its newsletter, “Ethical Culture Monthly,” during the 1990s.
He is survived by three daughters, Sara of New York City, Deborah of Tillson, NY, and Judy Ronzo of Branchburg; a brother, Arthur of Michigan; four grandchildren; and his former wife, Beatrice of New Paltz, NY.
Services were held Nov. 18 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ethical Cultural Society of Essex County, Maplewood.
