Theodosia Eskow
Theodosia “Theo” Eskow (Katz) of Livingston died Nov. 5, 2017, on her 107th birthday. Born in Hungary, she was raised in New Brunswick and lived in Perth Amboy after her marriage in 1940 before moving to Livingston in 2013.
Mrs. Eskow was the editorial assistant for the Journal of the Medical Society of New Jersey. After raising her children, she worked for over 25 years as the office manager for her husband’s dental practice.
She was an active member of the Perth Amboy Women’s Club, a charter member of the Perth Amboy League of Women Voters, a life member of Hadassah, and a member of Congregation Beth Mordecai and its sisterhood in Perth Amboy. An avid reader of nonfiction, she read The Wall Street Journal daily until she was almost 106.
Predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Jack, in 1999, and by seven brothers and a sister, she is survived by two sons, Robert (Nancy) of Livingston and Roy (Julie) of Potomac, Md.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 7 with arrangements by Flynn and Son Funeral Home, Fords. Memorial contributions may be made to Mazon.
