Trudy Elwood

Trudy Gail Elwood of Randolph died May 22, 2013. Born and raised in Irvington, she spent the last 31 years in Randolph.

Mrs. Elwood spent the last 23 years of her career in managerial positions at Kraft/Nabisco, retiring in 2008 as an associate director. Prior to that she worked in IT for other Fortune 500 companies.

She graduated from Bridgeport University, Connecticut, with a degree in mathematics.

After her retirement she became an active member of National Council of Jewish Women, serving on the Essex County Section board and helping to support shelters for battered women. She was also involved in WIGA, the Women’s Interclub Gold Association.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; two sons, Michael (Jessica) Stadtmauer and Matthew (Lauren) Stadtmauer; two stepsons, David (Jennifer) Elwood and Alan (Jackie) Elwood; a sister, Arlene Frank; and eight grandchildren.

Services were held May 24 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Atlantic Homecare and Hospice.
