Trump facts
To readers who are supporters of Pres. Donald Trump, I would like to answer their letters by stating a number of facts.
Trump is the subject of numerous cases of sexual misconduct. He has lost at least 30 court cases for non-payment of bills from vendors who completed work for him in his buildings. He ran the Trump Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City into bankruptcy. He is responsible for the incarceration of tens of thousands of immigrants and 15,000 children separated from their parents living in unsafe conditions and costing taxpayers millions of dollars.
His trips to Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Fla., and his entourage of staff cost us hundreds of thousands of dollars. He avoided military service by paying a doctor for his excuse.
He refuses to disclose any of his income tax records (which during the campaign he said were being audited and he would disclose them afterward). Every candidate and president in the past 40 years has made tax returns available. It is obvious he fears that a problem will be exposed.
Trump has stated that he lost hundreds of friends in the 9/11 attacks, and yet no one remembers seeing him at a single funeral. I could go on and on.
Trump doesn’t ask for advice from knowledgeable, experienced people. He has admitted to getting close advice from people in the Fox News Group instead.
Since Trump became president our national deficit has grown by a trillion dollars. Having a decent economy that way is not enough of a reason to continue to support an individual like him.
