Union County Holocaust survivors attend Cafe Europa program in Elizabeth
A group of Holocaust survivors, their caregivers, and Jewish Family Service of Central NJ volunteers and staff gathered at the Mitzi & Warren Eisenberg Multi-Purpose Center at the JFSCNJ Halpern Building in Elizabeth on February 16 for a Café Europa program. It featured lunch and musical entertainment by Richard Stillman, who performed English and Hebrew songs on many instruments, including the banjo; he also tap-danced.
Funds from the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater MetroWest NJ allow Café Europa to be hybrid, so homebound survivors and their caregivers could watch on livestream. Funders include the Wilf Family Foundations and the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.
