Virtual lecture on education in America
The Rabbi Israel S. Dresner Center for Collaborative Programs and Learning at Temple Beth Tikvah in Wayne partners with the Jewish Historical Society of Northern New Jersey for a virtual panel discussion. The program, “Education: Fighting for the Soul of America,” is set for Tuesday, February 13, at 7:30 p.m.
Avi Dresner, the son of Rabbi Dresner, will introduce the panel.
Congressman James Clyburn (D-S.C.) will moderate a panel discussing educational disparities within New Jersey and the country through the lenses of leadership development, public education, and more. Speakers include Nathaniel Briggs, whose parents were plaintiffs in one of the Brown v. Board of Education cases; psychoanalyst and community leader Dr. Willard Ashley Jr.; the Rev. Dr. Gina Jacob-Strain, general secretary of American Baptist Churches USA; and Justice Gary Stein of the NJ State Supreme Court.
