Wallace Werner of Summit died Feb. 13, 2020. Born in 1925 in Paterson, he grew up in Paterson and Newark and lived in Springfield and Union before moving to Summit eight years ago.
A registered pharmacist, Mr. Werner and his wife, Lenora, owned four pharmacies in Maplewood, Millburn, South Orange, and Short Hills.
He was a 1951 graduate of Rutgers College of Pharmacy.
He served in the Navy in World War II.
Predeceased by his wife of 57 years, he is survived by two daughters, Elise (Robert) Goldblat of Springfield and Michele Werner of New Providence; his son, Stuart (Wendy) Werner of Warren; a brother, Donald Werner of New York City; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
