Wayne shul to dedicate new learning center
The Rabbi Israel S. Dresner Center for Collaborative Programs and Learning at Wayne’s Temple Beth Tikvah will be dedicated on Sunday, June 11, at 2 p.m.
The Dresner Center is a library, housed in the synagogue, that holds hundreds of volumes that the late rabbi and his family donated. The center aims to be a place where the community can gain access to information, research, and archives to enhance its knowledge of Jewish life in the context of world history.
The center also will offer lectures and programs with partners including the Wayne Library and other public libraries, the YM-YWCA of Wayne, the Jewish Historical Society of Northern New Jersey, and Ramapo College.
Rabbi Dr. Susan Einbinder, a former congregant and student/mentee of Rabbi Dresner, is the keynote speaker. The Mosaic Choir will perform, and there will be a dessert reception. For information, call (973) 595-6565 or go to templebethtikvahnj.org.
