White Meadow Lake celebrates Lag B’Omer

In celebration of Lag B’Omer, the Chabad Center of Northwest New Jersey will host a Lag B’Omer Lakeside Festival, including a barbecue, bonfire, music, and entertainment, including a magic and bubble show by George the Magician. The family program will be on Beach 1 of White Meadow Lake on Tuesday, May 9, at 4:30 p.m.

“Lag B’Omer celebrates the lives and teachings of two of the greatest talmudic and kabbalistic sages in Jewish history, Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai and Rabbi Akiva,” Rabbi Mordechai Baumgarten, the Chabad Center of Northwest New Jersey’s program director, said. “The lessons learned from the lives of these two sages make this day one of profound celebration and inspiration.”

All are welcome to the lakeside celebration. For more information, go to www.onetorahway.org/LB2023, or call (973) 625-1525, ext. 202.
