William Edid
William A. Edid, 88, of Tinton Falls died March 15, 2012. Born in Brooklyn, he lived in Teaneck for 45 years before moving to Tinton Falls 12 years ago.
A self-employed certified public accountant, Mr. Edid maintained a practice in the New York metropolitan area and counted many medical professionals among his clients.
He was a World War II Army Air Force veteran and flew C-47 cargo planes in India, Burma, and China.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Florence; two daughters, Maralyn Edid of Ithaca, NY, and Joanne Edid of Evanston, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
Services were held March 18 with arrangements by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Ocean. Memorial contributions may be made to Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune.
