Winter hiking and more at NJ Botanical Garden

The New Jersey State Botanical Garden/Skylands on Morris Road in Ringwood is open daily. Visitors can go bird watching, see deer and other garden residents, or check out the blooming winter jasmine and witch hazels. NJBG’s main roads and parking lots are always promptly cleared of snow for visitors to take a walk, a hike, or a run. Bring snowshoes or cross-country skis to enjoy the meadows and woodlands.

Check the web site for self-guided family-friendly hikes in the State Park woodlands at the NJ State Botanical Garden and Skylands Manor tours. Garden admission is free and parking is free in the winter, spring, and fall. For information, go to njbg.org.
