Adele Hirschhorn
Adele Hirschhorn of Livingston died Oct. 14, 2010. Born in Newark, she lived in Irvington before moving to Livingston more than 40 years ago.
An avid tennis player, she volunteered for the past 45 years with the Ruth Estrin Goldberg Memorial Fund for Cancer Research, Springfield. She was also an active member of Temple Emanu-El of West Essex, Livingston, where she was a member of its choir for over 45 years. She also took part in local productions for synagogues and community organizations.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Allan; two daughters, Helaine and Alyse; a sister, Ilene Palent; and a grandchild.
Services were held Oct. 17 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ruth Estrin Goldberg Memorial Fund for Cancer Research.
