Barbara Halberstadter
Barbara Benjamin Halberstadter, 81, of Scotch Plains died July 17, 2014. She was a former resident of Linden.
Mrs. Halberstadter was an artist, musician, and silversmith. A longtime student at the NJ Center for Visual Arts, she designed and crafted jewelry that she exhibited and sold at local art fairs.
She was a graduate of Battin High School in Elizabeth and Kean University, where she earned a BA in music.
She served on the board of Jewish Family Service of Central New Jersey for many years.
Predeceased by her husband, Sanford, she is survived by her daughter, Jo Ann Halberstadter; her son, David (Beverly) Halberstadter; and three grandchildren.
Services were held July 23 with arrangements by Higgins and Bonner Funeral Home, Westfield. Memorial contributions may be made to The Sanford & Barbara Halberstadter Memorial Fund at Jewish Family Service of Central NJ.
