Bernard Lakritz
Bernard Lakritz, 95, of Whippany died April 18, 2018. Born in New York City, he also lived in Brooklyn.
Mr. Lakritz was head of the engineers and architects and in charge of the more than 600 facilities owned and operated by the New York City Board of Education.
A U.S. Navy veteran, he served his country during World War II and was awarded the American Theater and Victory medals for his service.
Predeceased by his wife, Muriel (Cohen), in 2009, he is survived by his daughter, Rhona Jacobs of Livingston; two sons, Neal of Massachusetts and Howard of Arizona; and nine grandchildren.
Services were held April 20 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
