Bravo Birthright
I must say I was impressed by Stephen Flatow’s piece “It’s not Birthright that’s in need of repair, it’s American Judaism” (Aug. 23). He clearly spells out all the deficiencies of American Judaism and the unavoidable, sad results they generate at so many levels.
Bravo for the great, ongoing results of the Taglit-Birthright Israel program in offsetting these deficiencies in young adults. Being a member of Chabad, I would say that there are many Jewish organizations working in tandem for the common goal of influencing our young generation in the ways of true Judaism.
