Buchanan’s venom

Several months ago I sent e-mails to the presidents of NBC and MSNBC as well as Joe Scarborough, host of Morning Joe on MSNBC, alerting them to the racist and anti-Semitic venom of one of their pundits, Pat Buchanan, but he continues to be on Morning Joe, as well as other MSNBC programs.

He now has a column published May 14 on World Net Daily, Townhall.com, Human Events, and other conservative websites in which he argues that if Elena Kagan becomes a Supreme Court Justice there will be too many Jews on the Supreme Court.

Buchanan wrote, “Indeed, of the last seven justices nominated by Democrats JFK, LBJ, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama, one was black, Marshall; one was Puerto Rican, Sonia Sotomayor. The other five were Jews: Arthur Goldberg, Abe Fortas, Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Stephen Breyer, and Elena Kagan. If Kagan is confirmed, Jews, who represent less than 2 percent of the U.S. population, will have 33 percent of the Supreme Court seats. Is this the Democrats’ idea of diversity? But while leaders in the black community may be upset, the folks who look more like the real targets of liberal bias are white Protestants and Catholics, who still constitute well over half of the U.S. population.”

His words are no surprise to those of us who are aware of his many racist and anti-Semitic comments over the years. Google Buchanan and you will see what I mean. If any of your readers would like to e-mail the president of NBC, you can reach him at steve.capus@nbc.com; the president of MSNBC at phil.griffin@nbc.com; and Joe Scarborough at joe@msnbc.com.
