The paternal grandparents are Sharon and Joel Lebowitz of Lake Hiawatha. The maternal great-grandfather is Alvin Sperling of Florida. The paternal great-grandmother is Naomi Lebowitz of West Orange. Max Steven is named in memory of his paternal great-grandfather Michael Lebowitz and his maternal great-grandmother Shirley Narcisenfeld.
