Celebrate Greater MetroWest’s Centennial Shabbat this weekend
Greater MetroWest synagogues and partner agencies will host coordinated Shabbat programming beginning today, Friday, February 2, and tomorrow, February 3, to celebrate the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest’s first 100 years.
All together there are 44 special community events — guest speakers and scholars-in-residence, community Shabbat dinners, fun family programs, Israeli dancing, Shabbat services, and more. Go to jfedgmw.org/centennial-shabbat to find events throughout the community.
As part of Centennial Shabbat, Federation has developed the Centennial Shabbat activity book for 2- to 7-year-olds old and their grown-ups. It will introduce young children to Shabbat traditions, Jewish values, and the Greater MetroWest community.
